Thought we would send you a quick update on our Lady girl. She has been the most wonderful addition to our family and we couldn’t be happier with the dog she is turning out to be.
The drive home to Minnesota went much better then I expected. She slept almost the entire way and when she wasn’t asleep she was cuddled on our lap. The first week or so at her new home was busy with vet visits (they were very impressed with not only how beautiful but her sweet disposition ) and many visitors. Since then Lady has gone from the cutest little puppy to a beautiful big girl! She was easy to potty train and besides a little bit of teething she is great around the house. Lady loves to not only play with her other doggie friends but she is in love with the kids across the street. She loves to retrieve (even in the Minnesota snow) and Philip is having the greatest time working with her for future hunting adventures. She is on her way to being an upland bird dog (grouse and pheasant). As far as hunting goes we have been trying to expose her to birds both with dummies injected with scent and also trainer bird wings. In doing so we have been able to have her track down and follow the scent and also retrieving dummies. After she is spayed she will be going to formal hunting training with a very well known trainer in the area. We have had her up north (this is primarily where Philip hunts ) and she LOVED being in the woods. She was gently introduced to gun shots and never even flinched. She also has a soft mouth while handling the birds. All of these attributes have Philip very excited. As for me, I’m appreciating that she loves to cuddle and for now she still fits in my lap, although probably not for much longer! She is the sweetest, goofiest, and loving little girl… everything you promised your puppies would be and more! Thank you and your family for the great work you do!
Thank you!!!

Our dog “Sully” is a Irish Golden, you sent him to us in Rochester NY in October, 2010. He is an absolutely wonderful dog, everything you promised and more. He is healthy, and beautiful, skin, coat, hips, heart+++! He gets along wonderfully with our 6 year old and our small dog. He goes to work with me every day at the animal shelter and loves all the students in my classes. He was easy to house/crate train and has passed basic obedience. He has a wonderful temperament, gentle and laid back. Everyone is amazed at how low key he is for a young sporting dog mix! Thank You for your dedication to this wonderful hybrid. Working at a shelter for the past 13 years I get to see the horrific results of bad breeding practices particularly for pit bulls. Please continue your positive work for these wonderful dogs!
Thanks Again for Everything,
Karen from Rochester
Just wanted to let you know that Abbey is doing great and we are truly enjoying her. She is EXTREMELY food/treat motivated, so it takes an eagle eye to make sure she isn’t trying to gulp down something inappropriate, but she is a joy. She’s doing great with her recall and it’s so fun to watch her ears flapping up and down when she runs towards you. It looks like she is going to lift off and fly!
Wanted to send you a photo I took last week at our farm property of her and our other dog Leo. They love running around the fields together!
I just want to thank you again for raising such amazing dogs. Abbey’s disposition is incredible. We love her so much and she is such a wonderful addition to our family.

Just wanted to say thank you again for such an awesome dog. Finnegan is great. Very smart and adventurous. I have attached a picture of him. Very very well behaved breed. Couldn’t ask for a better companion. I would like to be on your list for another puppy when you have your next litter.

Finnegan

He is gorgeous… everyone who sees him stops and tells us. He is about 85 lbs & swims almost everyday. He is solid muscle. Our vet says he is in perfect shape & weight.
The trainer we had still texts me to see how he is – he has a huge personality, but we admit to spoiling him.
Thank you for such an incredible dog. You should see him fly like the wind & jump up to catch a frizzbe mid-air.
Warmest Regards,
Mary Ann

Our Henry Nueman will be 3 years old at the end of November. Henry is the best dog we’ve ever owned. From a puppy, he was easy to train, we had zero chewing issues and he never jumped on anyone. His personality is loyal with a strong desire to please. He is a very loving natured dog, who loves children, especially my niece, Ella. Henry goes everywhere with us, he travels well on our boat, in our cars and even our golf cart! He is always extremely well behaved. He is our family and we adore our Henry Nueman. Thank you for perfecting this stellar hybrid breed!

We couldn’t be happier with our puppy, Loki, (who now weighs over 50 pounds). Here is a favorite photo.

We absolutely love our puppy, Bella! She is a very smart dog, as evidenced by how quickly she was house-trained and how easily she learned all the basic commends. She has a sweet disposition and is very friendly with everyone she meets. And she is beautiful – when we take her for walks in town, people are constantly stopping us and asking us about her and commenting how striking her color and appearance is. We couldn’t be happier with her.

Cooper is 14 months old, and we have had him for 12 great months. He has become a huge part of our life. Coop has gone from a little light brown ball of fur, to the most gorgeous mahogany red/brown Irish/Retriever anyone could want. If we had a dollar for every time we heard “what a beautiful dog”, or “he is gorgeous, what breed is he”, I could retire. No matter if we are walking the town square, or he is romping with the other dogs at the dog park, he stands out as a gentle, playful, and beautiful dog. Cooper is smart and picked up on the rules quickly. We have worked on some basic training that he seems to enjoy. We are planning a dad, mom, and Cooper learning experience with real trainers this summer, he will be the “Valadogtorium”. I am convinced we got the best of the two breeds, gentle calm Golden, and a beautiful playful family Setter. Grooming has not been the issue I anticipated. He has a smooth soft coat, and with a little brushing we have none of the issues of his longer haired cousins. I am sure thankful that my daughter in British Columbia told me about an Irish/Retriever she met, and I thank Erica and Mike for taking the time to walk me through the process and send me my “buddy”.

Another update from Larry when Cooper is 3.5 years old:
He is absolute the best buddy I could ever have by my side. He is 3 1/2 this month and has settled into his life as a best friend and house dog. He sleeps a lot of course but is always ready to go for a walk or to the “puppy park”, we have here in Prescott. He is pretty well know around town and is always the biggest hit when people want to pet him or ask about him. He is very friendly and loves to be scratched above his tail on his rump. I think I once said if I got a dollar for every time someone said how beautiful he is he would be paid for, well by now I could probably retire, because it is the one thing that is constant among the people we meet daily. He knows his toys and when Carol or I tell him to go find one, he looks all over the house until his finds the one, and then brings it to us. He sleeps with me most of the time and is great we both get up around 5. I will always remember my daughter Carly telling me about the beautiful dog she saw up in Kelowna, BC and how you and your husband more or less picked him out of the litter for us. He is truly a special guy and I am so happy with him I cannot imagine the time when we are not going to be together.
I hope you guys never give up on breeding the Irish/Retrievers because they are some terrific. Someday the world will know just how special they are and maybe they will be included in the “Best Dog for Anyone” category.
Best Regards from Larry and Carol and especially Cooper

Hi, Just a follow up about our little girl…who is now 47 pounds and still adorable…She continues to be a delight in our life, happy, healthy, and a lot of energy. She loves watching birds without doing anything about it — just watching in total silence; stalking chipmunks and squirrels in slow motion can keep her entertained for hours. Easy to train, she loves the clicker, and the fact that she isn’t doing amazing tricks has to do with the laid back nature of her owners, not her own ability to learn anything.
Again, we thank you so much for Amanda who just turned 7 months.

We absolutely adore Annie Bird. Love her to pieces and can’t imagine life without her! She is well behaved off-leash and loves to run and romp and chase birds and butterflies in open fields … and most of all, she LOVES LOVES LOVES to meet new friends (dogs, cats, kids, adults … anything with a beating heart!) Wherever we go, people want to meet her, pet her, and take her home. “Dog folks” remark on how (extremely) well behaved she is for a puppy. I attribute it to her parents and her breeder! Just yesterday, a woman asked where we got her … I would not be surprised if you hear from someone in this area at some point. I will attempt to send more in the coming weeks. Hope you and the family are well and enjoying the beautiful colors of spring!
Warm regards,
Kim, Danny, and Annie Bird

Hi!
I have attached a picture of Moose after passing his test and receiving his CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Award. We are so proud – now we have 2 CGC dogs! We have enrolled both Moose and Huck in the Pet Manners 3 course starting next Saturday.
Update:
Moose (is) our counter-surfing, trash-diving, sock-stealing, toilet paper shredding, trouble making love of our lives! It is hard to believe he will be 3 in December. He is definitely one of the best decisions I every made!

We just wanted to thank you (and your family) again for raising such an amazing puppy!!! She already understands come and sit, and we are now working on down and stay. So very smart! And she is already crate trained. To continue her socialization, we held her in our arms today as school was getting out, and she wanted to say hi to every she saw, wagging her tail the entire time. She is so wonderful and we love her so very much. Thank you again for doing such a great job with her. She is such a precious little girl. So calm and not afraid when we picked out of her crate. She immediately started wagging her tail when we kissed her on the head.

He is the smartest and funniest dog I’ve ever had and a love. He goes wild whenever he sees a ball of any sort (which makes it difficult to watch sports on TV). He can find an an abandoned tennis ball anywhere, and once came back from a walk with a partially-deflated basketball in his mouth. They love him at the vets and the kennels because he is so happy and good with the other dogs. And he is one handsome guy.

This is our now 1 year old Red. He is an active, happy puppy. He enjoys running our property. And swimming – it was very easy to teach him the boundary without any form of electric fence. Our 5 year old son is his best friend, they play fetch every day. He will be trained to shed hunt this year!
Thanks again for everything!
And yes, he’s allowed on the couch! He’s family!
